Super Eagles head coach Augustine Eguavoen has announced his squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya.
The squad, which includes a mix of experienced veterans and promising young talents, is aimed at securing a place in the continental tournament.
Among the notable inclusions are captain William Ekong, in-form winger Moses Simon, and the highly-rated Ademola Lookman.

The squad also features defenders Oluwasemilogo Ajayi and Calvin Bassey, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi, and forwards Taiwo Awoniyi and Victor Boniface.
Unfortunately, reigning Africa Player of the Year and Galatasary forward, Victor Osimhen will miss the matches due to injury. Defender Olisa Ndah, who plays in South Africa, is also unavailable. However, defender Bright Osayi-Samuel and playmaker Chidera Ejuke have been recalled to the squad after missing previous matches.
The Super Eagles will host Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on October 11th before traveling to Benghazi for the return leg on October 15th. The squad is expected to report for training in Uyo on October 7th.
