The Pan Niger Delta Forum PANDEF , Eastern Union and Otuekong Don Etiebet have commiserated with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno over the death of his wife, Patience, PANDEF through a statement on Saturday by the National Publicity Secretary of organisation, Dr. Ken Robinson, said that it is saddened by the news of Her Excellency’s death at a time when her support, love, and companionship were most needed.
“On behalf of the National Leader, Chief Dr. E. K. Clark, the Board of Trustees, the National Executive Committee, and the entire membership of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), the National Chairman of the Forum, Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien, extends heartfelt condolences to the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, and the government and good people of Akwa Ibom State on the passing of the First Lady of the State and beloved wife of the governor, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, on September 26, 2024, at the age of 57.
“PANDEF is deeply saddened by the news of Her Excellency’s demise at a time when her support, love, and companionship were most needed by His Excellency, the governor, and the family. Her passing is not only a great loss to her family but also to the state and the nation.” PANDEF stated.
A socio- political group for the people of the old Eastern Region, The Eastern Union Nigeria (EU) has regretted the death of the wife of Akwa Ibom State governor Pastor Patience Umo Eno Who was aged 57, in a statement signed by its National President, Hon. Charles Anike, and made available to Newsmen on Sunday, the group described the death of Mrs Eno as painful and regrettable.
“The news of her death came to us as a shock and it is indeed very painful, especially now the Akwa Ibom people are looking forward to a sustainable progress from the achievements of the previous regimes.
“The EU heartily commiserates with the governor, his immediate family and the entire people of Akwa Ibom State on this irreparable loss.
“We pray that the good Lord will grant her soul eternal rest in Christ Jesus.” The statement read.
Otuekong Don Etiebet in his reaction to the death of The Akwa Ibom First Lady describes the diseased as an embodiment of virtues of love, which he said was an enhancer to the governor’s social welfare programmes aimed at uplifting the lives of the poor in Akwa Ibom. He said this over the weekend in a release signed by himself and his wife Nike Imaobong Etiebet.
“Many of my Petroleum Club members have been calling me to express their surprises and sent their condolences on hearing of the bad news.
“Death is so cruel! How can this happen to a good man who loves people and governs with the fear of God with his pastor wife beside him? Death, this is too much of your sting!” The Release stated in part.
