Edo Guber: Court Affirms Akpata’s Candidacy

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has confirmed Olumide Akpata as the governorship candidate for the Labour Party in Edo State.

In June, Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court Abuja dismissed a lawsuit aimed at invalidating Akpata’s nomination for the upcoming September 21 election.

In his ruling, Justice Omotosho supported the arguments presented by Akpata’s attorney, Johnson Usman (SAN), asserting that the plaintiffs lacked the legal standing to bring the case.
