PDP Crisis: Rabiu Kwankwaso Declares PDP ‘Dead’

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is effectively finished in Nigeria.

Speaking at the inauguration of a newly renovated NNPP office in Katsina State on Saturday, Kwankwaso stated, “The PDP is dead because we left it. We decided to move on once they veered off course.”

Kwankwaso confidently asserted that he plans to win the 2027 presidential election and that the NNPP is poised to not only capture the presidency but also secure control over several states.

The former Governor of Kano State urged Nigerians to be cautious of any attempts to sway their votes with gifts or money during the upcoming general elections.
In his remarks, Katsina NNPP Chairman Armaya’u Abdulkadir highlighted the party’s efforts to educate voters about its new logo.

Abdulkadir explained that the logo represents the party’s commitment to education for all, reflecting a key focus of Kwankwasiyya.

He emphasized the need for grassroots awareness campaigns to help party members understand the significance of the new logo.
