TASUED Rusticates, Suspends 83 Students For Misconduct

The management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has taken disciplinary action against a group of students for various offenses, including forgery, threats to life, and examination malpractices.

A total of 83 students were affected, with 25 students being rusticated and 58 others indefinitely suspended.

 Among those punished is Ojo Michael, a 200-level Computer Science student, who was rusticated for the entire 2023/2024 academic session.

The decision to discipline the students was made by the university’s Senate following recommendations from the Examination Malpractice and Students’ Disciplinary Committee.

The affected students have been ordered to stay away from the university campus, and any student who disregards this directive will face legal consequences and action from the university’s security personnel.

This incident highlights the importance of maintaining academic integrity and adhering to university rules and regulations. It serves as a reminder to all students that any violation of these rules will not be tolerated.
