Former BBNaija Star Mike Edwards Triumphs In Boxing Debut

Nigerian-British athlete Mike Edwards, known for his high-flying career in track and field, has made a successful transition to professional boxing. 

In his debut fight against Jake Cornish at the Dublin Arena, Edwards secured a unanimous decision victory.

The bout was part of the Misfits Boxing Cruiserweight division, a league spearheaded by social media influencer and boxer KSI. Edwards’ decision to step into the ring marked a significant departure from his previous athletic pursuits.

Prior to his boxing debut, Edwards had achieved considerable success in track and field.Representing Nigeria, he clinched national high jump championships in 2021 and 2022.

His impressive career also included appearances at the African Athletics Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
