Russia Launches Fresh Wave Of Attacks On Ukraine

Russia intensified its assault on Ukraine with a series of missile and drone attacks targeting multiple regions. The attacks, which occurred just a day after a major strike on Ukraine’s power grid, resulted in the tragic deaths of at least four civilians.

In the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, a devastating hotel attack claimed the lives of two people. The hotel was reportedly completely destroyed by the strike.

Meanwhile, in the eastern city of Zaporizhzhia, drone attacks caused the deaths of two additional individuals.

The Kyiv region was also under threat as air defense systems were activated multiple times to intercept missiles and drones targeting the capital. Ukrainian forces successfully neutralized a significant number of these aerial threats, including 15 drones and several missiles.

According to official reports, Ukraine’s air defenses intercepted a total of five missiles and 60 drones launched by Russia during the overnight attack. Among the intercepted weapons were 10 missiles and 81 Iranian-designed attack drones.

The Ukrainian air force also detected the launch of multiple clusters of drones and the deployment of Russian strategic bombers and interceptor aircraft.

In response to these attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed that Russia would face consequences for its actions. He condemned the attacks as crimes against humanity and reported that 16 people were injured in the strikes.

Two people were killed when a hotel was “wiped out” in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, regional officials said on Tuesday.
