Filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has uncovered a con artist who uses her image and identity to trick gullible people on WhatsApp.

Akindele claims that Prosper Paul, the fraudster, has been posing as her and sending texts requesting money with the assurance that it will be returned the following day.

Funke urged her followers to exercise caution and resist falling for the fraud by posting screenshots of the con artist’s chats on her Instagram story and X account.
