Peter Obi, the ex-governor of Anambra State and the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has remarked that Funke Akindele’s latest film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” effectively portrays the challenges experienced by less privileged Nigerians. The Saturday Telegraph previously highlighted that “A Tribe Called Judah” stands as the initial Nollywood production to surpass N1 billion in box office earnings.

Speaking in a statement issued via his verified X page on Saturday, Obi said, “Is heartwarming to learn that ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ a movie by @funkeakindele, has achieved a record-breaking earning of N1 billion, in just 3 weeks of its release, thus marking a historic moment in our Nigerian movie industry.
