President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstruction of the the Wagga bridge linking Adamawa and Borno.
Mohammed Goni, Director-General, North East Development Commission (NEDC) disclosed this during an inspection of the bridge that collapsed for the second time in two months.
2. Adamawa Governor Disburses N500 Million To Women
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has empowered 10,000 women with a total of N500 million to boost small-scale businesses.
Each woman received N50,000 to support their economic activities across the state’s 21 local government areas.
3. Hunters Rescue Kidnapped Siblings In Anambra
The Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) has announced the successful rescue of two siblings abducted by gunmen in Anambra State.
According to the Deputy Commander-General (Technical Operations) of the NHFSS, Dr. John Metchie, the siblings, Chijioke George Igwe and Uchenna Augustine Igwe, were kidnapped on August 16 while returning from a wedding ceremony in Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area of the state.
4. Bala Swears In 20 LG Chairmen
Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State on Sunday swore in the newly elected Chairmen of the state’s 20 Local Governments.
The Governor, congratulated the elected chairmen for emerging winners in the election held on Saturday.
5. Troops Repel Terrorist Attack In Kaduna, Kill Two
Nigerian Army troops have successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on Saulawa community in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing two of the assailants.
In a statement released on Sunday, the army said the troops, deployed under Operation Forest Sanity, encountered the terrorists on Friday while on a routine patrol.

Lagos residents are once again grappling with fuel scarcity as long queues have resurfaced at filling stations across the metropolis.

Food prices are on the decline due to the current harvest season, according to farmers and traders.
The farmers attributed the price drop to abundant rainfall leading to bountiful crop yields.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday officially opened the newly constructed Mushin Red Line flyover.
