Bode George solicits: ‘Tinubu Requires Extra Year to Tackle Nigeria’s Challenges’

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Bode George has urged Nigerians to grant President Bola Tinubu another year to address the nation’s problems and keep his pledges.

In an interview with Arise Television, George emphasized how crucial it is to give Tinubu, who is a first-time president, more time to carry out his programs and win over the people.

 Taking into account Tinubu’s lack of prior presidential experience, George compared Tinubu to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who also need time to get used to his new position.

“While Tinubu has been involved with the APC, assuming a leadership position is a completely different task,” George stated. “We should allow him the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of the previous administration. Just as Obasanjo navigated his first year, let us extend the same courtesy to Tinubu.”

George expects Tinubu’s cabinet to promptly address past shortcomings, underscoring the significance of giving the president sufficient time to bring about meaningful change.
