Gbarain Ubie Gas Plant Explosion did not Affect Our Operations – NLNG

The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited has declared that the Gbarain Ubie gas plant explosion in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state did not affect its operations, The General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Andy Odeh made this known recently.

“Please note that this does not impact the gas supply to the NLNG plant or our operations”. He said.

It’s on record that fire erupted after explosions at the gas processing plant run by Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) in Gbaran recently, which according to Shell, was quenched and a Joint Investigative Visit (JIV) followed to determine the cause of the incident.

According to Michael Adande, The Spokesperson of the company;

“We are pleased to report that the fire outside our Gbaran Central Processing Facility in Bayelsa went out last night and a regulator-led Joint Investigation Visit is being planned to determine the cause and impact.”
