Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, is said to not be the biological father by his mother.
According to THE MATRIX, the bereaved mother said in a taped call that went viral that Joseph is taking use of Mohbad’s passing to exert pressure on Nigerians to provide him with financial support.
Cursing Joseph Aloba, she said that a DNA test will establish that he is not Mohbad’s real father and that he has never given the kids any thought other than to use them as a means of generating money for himself.

In her words, “Is it justice for Mohbad you’re looking for? Is he your sibling? Do you want justice or you’re trying to steal money.
“You’re disturbing Nigerians; dribbling them left and right. Have you forgotten you have your own children? What you’re making my son face, you shall face it too.
“You thief! I give you three days to do dna; you’ll know that Baba Mohbad is not the biological father of Mohbad.
“You know I’m married to someone else. He’s not the owner of those kids; he’s just taking money on their behalf and you say you’re looking for justice for Mohbad.”

Since his death, there has been different matters arising including the legitimacy of his child
Then a rumour from Karimot, a sister-in-law to the late start has started another angle to the death. According to Karimot, Mohbad met with some people connected to the show in Ikorodu, 72 hours before his death.
Karimot in a video on her Instagram account, alleged that the meeting which was held in a bar was before the show he performed in Ikorodu.
She urged Nigerians to study the videos of Mohbad during the show in Ikorodu because his unstable behaviour was not due to the influence of hard drugs.
She queried why nobody was talking about this set of people the late singer met shortly before his death.
Karimot said, “I will not keep quiet or be shut up on why they hurriedly buried Mohbad. You are telling me to keep quiet and trying to shut me down. When he died, somebody donated money for them to bury him.
