Committed to advancing human capital development in Nigeria, Alpha Morgan Capital, an asset management company and investment banking group, has contributed N100 million towards the renovation of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) main library lobby and the establishment of the Makerspace.
During the official commissioning of the revitalized Main Library Lobby and Makerspace sponsored by Alpha Morgan Capital, Ade Buraimo, the Group Managing Director, highlighted the company’s position as one of Africa’s fastest-growing enterprises, ranking seventh continent-wide and fourth in Nigeria.

Buraimo emphasized Alpha Morgan Capital’s role as a prominent player in asset management and the capital market, expressing the company’s commitment to ensuring that graduates from Nigerian institutions contribute meaningfully to industries. He explained that the company, recognizing the importance of aligning educational institutions with modern study methods, undertook a backward integration approach, directing its support towards the remodeling project with a financial commitment exceeding N100 million.
The Group Managing Director underscored the project’s significance within the scope of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He cited previous contributions to various areas in Victoria Island and Ikoyi, emphasizing the importance of giving back to society.

Vice Chancellor Folasade Ogunsola expressed her gratitude, noting that the renovated main library would provide an upgraded and conducive learning environment for students, lecturers, and researchers. She emphasized the university’s dedication to fostering a cutting-edge learning environment and enhancing academic and research facilities.
