Rivers Crisis: PDP Tells APC To Manage Wike’s Problem

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has told the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop complaining about the political conduct of Nyesom Wike and instead take responsibility for what it described as a crisis of the ruling party’s own making in Rivers State.

Reacting on Tuesday to the exchange between Wike and APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru, the PDP said Wike was expelled from its ranks and is no longer its member.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, the party said the APC willingly embraced Wike for political advantage and therefore cannot “cry foul” now that the relationship has become problematic.

“The law does not allow you to benefit from a wrong you created and then complain about it,” Ememobong said, adding that what the APC once celebrated as an asset has now become a liability.

The PDP urged the APC to manage the political consequences of its own choices and stop dragging the opposition party into the Rivers crisis.
