The $350 million Grand Litora Railway project that will connect all major cities in Cross River State, moved a significant step to actualization with the presentation of the topographical mapping for the first 104 kilometer Calabar-Ugep route, the presentation took place at the Tinapa Free Zone Resort recently, reaffirming the commitment of Cross River State and Rinehooke Ltd to successfully execute the project.
According to Governor Bassey Otu, the project is a unifying infrastructure that will link the southern and northern parts of the state, boosting economic growth and connectivity.
Backed by Rinehooke Ltd, an investment company committed to driving innovation and the development of critical infrastructure, the project will have its main terminals in Calabar and Obudu, while three sub-stations will be located at Ugep, Ikom and Ogoja.
The Partner/CEO of Rinehooke Investment Ltd, Nelson Elemi, highlighted the potential of the project to revolutionise tourism and stimulate regional development.
