Cooking Gas Prices Set to Rise as NIPCO and 11PLC Increase LPG Rates

The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is expected to rise across Nigeria as major suppliers NIPCO and 11PLC have increased the depot price to ₦1,150 per kilogram. This marks a 5.56% increase from the previous price of ₦1,095 per kg, which was in effect until Friday, October 11, 2024.

A source from one of the companies explained that the price hike is due to a significant rise in international market prices. The new depot price of ₦1,150/kg will take effect immediately.

Last week, leading suppliers offered LPG at the following rates:

• Navgas: ₦1,100/kg
• NIPCO: ₦1,095/kg
• 11PLC: ₦1,095/kg
• PPMC: ₦1,092.5/kg
• Techno Gas: ₦1,100/kg

This increase is likely to impact consumers nationwide, resulting in higher retail prices in the coming days.
