American investor and Shark Tank star Mark Cuban has revealed his interest in acquiring the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, if given the chance.

Cuban mentioned that he wouldn’t hesitate to purchase the company from its current owner, Elon Musk, should the opportunity arise.

“I wish I could. There’s no reason for him [Elon Musk] to sell it,” Cuban said while discussing the impact of the baby boomer generation, which he refers to as the “Fox News generation,” and how to effectively reach them.

Cuban also expressed a desire to buy Fox News, stating, “If I had enough money to do it, which I don’t, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.” Despite his significant wealth, Cuban noted that he cannot afford to purchase the media network, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Earlier this year.

X, the app formerly known as Twitter, is currently valued at around $20 billion. Musk acquired the platform from its founder, Jack Dorsey, for $44 billion in 2022 and rebranded it as X.
Since Musk’s takeover, the platform has undergone significant changes, including monetization options for subscribed users based on engagement.
