Nigerian Star, Mr Ibu, Begs For Help Says My Leg Might Be Amputated

Actor John Okafor, well known by his stage name as Mr. Ibu, of Nollywood, has appealed for prayers in the wake of his struggle with an illness that may need the amputation of both of his legs.

Hours after a video of the ill actor celebrating his 63rd birthday in a secret Lagos hospital surfaced on social media, the actor let out a cry.

The actor threatened to lose his limb if the medical director’s prescribed drug didn’t work, but he withheld the specifics of his disease.

He went on to say that he has nowhere to go and doesn’t want to lose his legs.

Speaking in the video, he said, “I have been down for so many weeks, all I’m hoping for is your prayers and assistance. I’ve been in the hospital, as I speak to you, I’m still lying down in the hospital. The medical director says in case his new idea didn’t work, the best idea is to cut off my leg, just see me, if they cut off my leg where will I go? Please pray for me, talk to God Almighty, I don’t want my leg to be cut off. God bless you.”
