Troops, Police, Local Vigilante Free Kidnap Victim In Edo

A combined team of men of the Nigerian Army, 322 Regiment, Police operatives in collaboration with local vigilantes have  rescued a kidnapped victim in Ekpoma , Esan West, Edo state, after engaging the hoodlums in a gun duel.

Thus was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Wednesday.

The post stated that the operation took place around 9:30 a.m. on September 7, 2026, along Juju Junction, behind Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma.

The security men and local vigilante reportedly confronted the suspected kidnappers during the operation, forcing them to abandon the victim and flee the area.

“The victim was rescued and later handed over to the Nigeria Police for further action.” Makama posted.

The report further stated that security forces have continued in their efforts to locate the fleeing suspects and prevent further kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area.
