Tantita, Manroy Donate An 18-seater Bus To Warri NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) and Manroy Global Services have donated an 18- seater bus to The Correspondents’ Chapel of The Nigerian Union of Journalists,  Warri Chapel, thereby strengthening their support for journalism in Delta State.

The vehicle was presented on Wednesday at Manroy’s head office in Udu, Delta State, by Collins Okorie, the company’s Managing Director and Tantita’s Administrative Manager, Daisy Jaja.

Also present in the presentation ceremony  were other management staff if the company including Silva Ofugara, as well as representatives of the NNPCL Project Management Office.

The gesture is aimed at  enhancing the mobility of journalists covering events and developments across Warri and its environs, particularly in communities and locations requiring regular field reporting.

According to Okorie,  the gesture is aimed at supporting journalists in carrying out their responsibility of keeping the public informed.

Jaja in her speech reiterated Tantita’s longstanding relationship with the Journalists, she said that the donation formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.

She also expressed confidence that the vehicle would improve the ability of journalists to effectively discharge their professional duties.

Receiving the bus on behalf of The Chapel, the NUJ delegation, led by the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, HRM Udurhie I, commended Tantita and Manroy for the intervention.

The monarch further called on  stakeholders to continue supporting Tantita’s operations and expansion, stressing its role in employment generation, security and environmental protection in the region.

“Tantita should be expanded and encouraged to grow to employ more youths. Tantita is not the only pipeline surveillance contractor, but they’re the most visible one because Tantita is doing a lot more than. Our waterways are fully safeguarded, calmer, cleaner, with aquatic life visibly returning.

“If encouraged to do more, I believe Tantita can take more persons out of the streets and our kingdoms and land will be safer and more prosperous for all.” The monarch said.

Akpokona Omafuaire, The NUJ Warri Correspondents Chapel Chairman appreciated the companies for the donation, recalling that Tantita had earlier constructed and donated an ultramodern press centre to the chapel in 2025.

According to him, the latest intervention would further strengthen the capacity of journalists to report developments across the region and contribute to sustainable development.
