Adeleke Declares Support For Tinubu Ahead Of 2027 Election

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that the Accord Party in the state will support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, describing him as a son of Osun State.

Speaking at the launch of his re-election campaign in Osogbo, Adeleke welcomed more than 10,000 defectors from the APC, ADC and other political parties, alongside endorsements from over 200 groups, unions and associations.

Among the defectors were former commissioners Yemi Lawal, Taiwo Akeju and Folorunso Bamisayemi, as well as former Special Adviser Jamiu Olawumi and other APC chieftains.

Adeleke assured the new members that Accord would emerge victorious in the August 15 governorship election, urging them to mobilise support for the party.

The governor said his administration had improved the state’s economy, citing assessments by the Debt Management Office, and disclosed that his re-election campaign would be driven by a five-point agenda.

He also reiterated his commitment to peaceful politics, warning against violence and insisting that Osun must remain stable and secure.

“Osun must not go back to the dark age. We reject violence. Go out and campaign for the party. Accord will be on the ballot, and by the grace of God, we will win,” he said.
