The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has mourned its former Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, describing his death as a loss to the organisation and the nation.
In a statement, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, said Biu’s passing marked the end of a distinguished career defined by discipline, dedication and commitment to public service.
Biu, who joined the FRSC in its formative years, served as the seventh substantive Corps Marshal from July 2022 to May 2024. During his tenure, he contributed to road safety administration, operational effectiveness and institutional development.
Mohammed noted that the late officer’s contributions remained an enduring part of the FRSC’s institutional legacy, describing him as a seasoned professional who devoted much of his life to public service and the safety of Nigerians.
On behalf of the management and workforce of the corps, Mohammed extended condolences to Biu’s family, friends and associates, praying that Allah grants them the strength to bear the loss.
He also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased and his admission into Aljannah (Paradise).
“Rest in peace, Dauda Ali Biu. Your service to the nation will not be forgotten,” Mohammed said.
