BBNaija’s Flora Rejects Pressure To Live Celebrity Lifestyle

Former Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Flora has pushed back against expectations that she should maintain a lavish lifestyle following her appearance on the reality television show, revealing that she neither owns a car nor a house.

Flora, who said she was still new to Lagos, urged people not to take photographs of her in public and use them to suggest that she was struggling financially.

In a statement shared in Nigerian Pidgin, the reality star said she had not presented herself as wealthy during her time in the house and would not pretend to live like a celebrity outside the show.

“I no follow una do celebrity life o. I no wan hear say I dey waka one day for road with my black trouser, una con snap me say this girl dey suffer,” she said.

She appealed to people to understand that appearing on the show did not mean she had acquired expensive properties or could afford an extravagant lifestyle.

“I take God beg una o, I no get motor, I no get house, I no follow una live big girl life,” Flora added.

The former housemate also expressed frustration with the demands associated with celebrity status, saying she was tired of participating in photoshoots every day.

Reiterating her position, Flora said her lifestyle outside the reality show remained consistent with how she lived while in the house.

“I no do big girl for Big Brother house, na so I dey real life,” she said.
