Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, MMI, has commended Governor Umo Eno for the appointment of an illustrious son of Ibibio, Prof. Philip Afaha as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University of Education Afaha Nsit.
This was conveyed in a statement issued by the International Public Relations Officer of the organization, Akparawa Idongesit Ikono in Uyo on Wednesday and made available to The Matrix Newspaper.
The statement observed that with the appointment, the institution has fully metamorphosed into a full flesh university.
MMI celebrates the academic prowess of Prof Afaha seeing him as a square peg in a square hole.

MMI notes that the appointment brings clarity to the transition of the institution from a College of Education to a full-fledged university and provides the leadership required to commence its operations on a strong footing.
Considering Professor Afaha’s academic profile, experience and contributions to scholarship and public service, MMI considers his appointment consistent with the demands of providing experienced leadership for the new institution.
