Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has said any man unwilling to lay down his life for his partner is a “fool,” citing his Christian faith as the basis for the belief.

Speaking on a recent episode of the In Motion Podcast, the rapper said his understanding of marriage and commitment is rooted in the biblical teaching that husbands should love their wives sacrificially.

“Any man who can’t die for his woman is a fool. I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loves the Church. And what did Christ do for the Church? He died for the Church,” he said.

Odumodublvck also said he expects to die before his wife because she is younger, adding that he would want her to preserve his legacy and oversee the distribution of his wealth to their children.

“It is my wife that will continue my legacy,” he said.

The rapper further addressed claims that he is a misogynist, describing the label as unfair and inconsistent with his views about women and relationships.

“The biggest misconception about me is that I am a misogynist. It bothers me a lot because it is such an unfair thing to say,” he said.

He questioned how someone willing to make such sacrifices for his partner could reasonably be described as hostile towards women.

Odumodublvck’s remarks have added to ongoing conversations around relationships, masculinity and the expectations placed on men in marriage.
