Fuji music icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as Kwam 1, has facilitated a reconciliation between two prominent figures of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) and Mustapha Adekunle (Tafa Sego).
The peace meeting took place at Ojusagbola, Ijebu, Ogun State, with several NURTW leaders in attendance.
The development was announced on Tuesday through Kwam 1’s digital media page on Instagram, where pictures from the reconciliation meeting were shared.
According to the post, the two transport union leaders resolved their differences after years of disagreement.
“After years of an age-long rift, MC Oluomo and Tafa Sego have finally settled their differences. And from what we know now, this is final,” the statement read.
The post described the meeting as more than a symbolic public gesture, noting that both men came together with Kwam 1 acting as a mediator.
“King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1) played the peacemaker,” the statement added, explaining that the Fuji musician intervened in his capacity as the Mayegun of Yorubaland to help end the prolonged disagreement.
The reconciliation marks a new chapter between MC Oluomo and Tafa Sego, who were previously close allies within the Lagos chapter of the NURTW before their relationship became strained over leadership issues within the union.
Their disagreement had attracted public attention over the years, with tensions occasionally emerging during union activities and public events.
The latest peace effort follows an earlier incident at Kwam 1’s New Year All White Party in Lagos in January 2026, where reactions reportedly followed after the musician publicly recognised MC Oluomo as the NURTW leader.
Following the development, Kwam 1 had appealed for unity among the transport union figures.
The reconciliation meeting has now brought both parties together, with Kwam 1’s media team stating that the long-running disagreement has been resolved.
