Davido Calls On Trump, International Community To Monitor Osun Election

Nigerian music star, Davido, has appealed to United States President Donald Trump and the international community to pay close attention to the forthcoming Osun State election amid growing concerns over possible violence and disruption of the democratic process.

Davido, in a statement addressed to Trump, expressed fears that rising political tension in the state could lead to intimidation, violence and other actions capable of undermining the credibility of the election.

The singer urged the US government and the international community to closely monitor developments surrounding the election and encourage Nigerian authorities to protect voters and safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.

According to him, the people of Osun State should be allowed to exercise their constitutional right to vote freely and peacefully without fear.

He said, “We do not want bloodshed. We do not want intimidation. We want peace, transparency, and a free and fair election.”

Davido also called on all relevant authorities to ensure that every voter is protected and every vote is respected.

His intervention comes as political activities intensify ahead of the Osun election, with concerns being raised over the need to prevent violence and ensure a credible and peaceful democratic exercise.
