Candidates must have their 10-digit examination number, a valid WAEC e-PIN with its serial number, and either an internet-enabled device or a mobile phone for SMS access.
The WAEC result checker e-PIN costs ₦5,000 and serves as the access code to the result portal. Scratch cards purchased in previous years remain valid and can be used up to five times, but only for one candidate’s examination number.

- Visit the official WAEC result portal.
- Enter your 10-digit examination number.
- Select 2026 as the examination year.
- Choose the appropriate examination type.
- Input your e-PIN and serial number.
- Click Submit to view your result.
Checking Through the Mobile App
Candidates can also download the WAEC Result Checker app from the Google Play Store, enter their examination details and e-PIN, and view or download their results.

WAEC Grading System
- A1, B2, B3 – Distinction and Merit
- C4, C5, C6 – Credit Passes
- D7, E8 – Ordinary Passes
- F9 – Fail
Most Nigerian universities require at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, with C6 being the minimum acceptable credit grade.
If Your Result Is Withheld
A withheld result usually indicates that WAEC is investigating suspected examination malpractice involving the candidate or examination centre. Affected candidates are advised to contact their school’s examination officer or visit the nearest WAEC state office for clarification.

Candidates who believe their grades are incorrect can submit complaints through the WAEC portal or visit a WAEC state office to begin the official result verification or review process.
