The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe has inaugurated the party’s National Campaign Council for the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election, declaring that the APC is fully prepared to reclaim the state through a united and issue-based campaign.
Speaking during the inauguration, the party chairman said the constitution of the campaign council marked the formal commencement of the APC’s coordinated efforts to secure victory at the polls.
According to him, members of the council were carefully selected based on their experience, commitment and proven ability to deliver results.
“The inauguration marks the commencement of our coordinated efforts to secure another resounding victory for our great party in Osun State,” he said.
“The distinguished members of the Council have been carefully selected based on their proven experience, commitment and capacity to deliver results. I have no doubt that they will work tirelessly with all stakeholders to ensure a successful campaign.”
The APC chairman charged members of the council to remain focused, united and disciplined throughout the campaign, stressing that the party’s engagement with voters must be centred on issues affecting the people.
“Our campaign must be issue-based, people-centred and reflective of the values of the APC, while taking our message of good governance, development and the Renewed Hope Agenda to every community across Osun State,” he said.
Calling for massive grassroots mobilisation, he urged party members, supporters and residents of Osun State to rally behind the APC and its governorship candidate ahead of the August 15 election.
“I call on all our members, supporters and the good people of Osun State to rally behind our party and our candidate as we work together towards a decisive victory on August 15,” he stated.
Expressing confidence in the party’s chances, the APC chairman said unity, hard work and public support would propel the ruling party to victory in the governorship contest.
“With unity, hard work and the support of the people, we are confident that the APC will once again emerge victorious,” he added.
