At 65, I’m Living On Extra Time — RMD

Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) says turning 65 feels like living on “extra time,” describing his life as one filled with gratitude after outliving both of his parents.

Speaking on *The Morayo Show*, the screen legend said he remains thankful to be alive and to witness a period where entrepreneurship is flourishing in Nigeria and across the world.

“Being 65, I feel like I am living an extra time right now. My parents didn’t make 60. My life is one of gratitude,” he said.

RMD attributed his youthful appearance and energy to healthy eating, regular exercise and a positive mindset. He said he consciously refuses to let age define him, insisting that staying young begins with attitude.

“The only way for an old person to stay young is to never let the old person in,” he said, adding that he continues to embrace stylish fashion despite playful criticism from his eldest son.

The actor maintained that he has no intention of slowing down, saying he will continue to live confidently and enjoy life regardless of his age.
