The auditorium of Global Reconcilation Ministries, Oyigbo in Rivers State was filled to the brim as men, woman, youths , the clergies and children from all works of life gathered in their hundreds to pay their last respect to Pastor Jonathan Okonkwo Eze, the resident Pastor of Global Reconcilation Ministries Oyigbo, Rivers State.
A service of song was held on Sunday in honour of the Man of God who died on Friday , 3rd, April, 2026 after a brief sickness.
It was indeed a solemn assembly as the entire congregation of the ministry, friends, relations and well wishers gathered to pay their respect to a man whose legacies in ministry will be very difficult to fill.
The 59 years old clergyman was a compassionate man of God that impacted so much on the lives of many that came in contact with him. For those the deceased ministry impacted on said the legacies of the man of God will be very difficult to fill.
For Victor Edozie , a Journalist and a close associate of Pastor Jonathan Okonkwo Eze, the deceased will be missed by those his ministry impacted on.
“Jonathan was a great man of God, a compassionate personality that gave all he had to the work of God. His death was a personal lost to me. His teachings, ministration and strong character thought me so much on a life of holiness. He was selfless and carries the burden of others with compassion and love. He goes out of his ways to assist people who came in contact with him. Infact I lack words to express my feelings about this great soul whose legacies will be very difficult to fill. He will be missed by all who came in contact with him.”
Pastor Peter Edeh, a Port Harcourt base cleric described Pastor Jonathan as a selfless personality who laboured so much for others.
“He was a great personality who stood his ground in righteousness, holiness, commitment to the things of God. Jonathan is a humane personality with impeccable character. A man after God’s heart. He spent his personal money to help those that were in need. The legacies he left behind will be very difficult to fill,” he said.
Pastor God’s power Enenta who spoke on behalf of Global Reconcilation Ministries clerics, said, ” Pastor Jonathan was a man who spent all that he had to help those who came in contact with him. He loved the work of God and assisted those who came in contact with him. He will be greatly missed by all”.
Pastor Godswill Thompson described Pastor Jonathan Eze as a legend that gave all to the service of God and humanity.
” He was selfless, restless when it comes to the things of God and humanity. He goes out of his ways to help those that came in contact with him,” he said.
Pastor Jonathan Okonkwo Eze will be laid to rest on the 15th of August, 2026 in his home town Uburu in Ebonyi State.
The Service of song was presided over by the General Superintendent of Global Reconciliation Ministries , Pastor Edward Enenta.
