Reports: Arsenal Keen On Vinicius As Madrid Push For Diomande

Arsenal are exploring a move for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior as the Spanish giants intensify efforts to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, according to reports.

Sky Sports said Arsenal have not opened formal talks with Real Madrid but remain interested in the Brazil international, who is among several attacking targets alongside Julian Alvarez, Bradley Barcola and Diomande.

Vinicius has entered the final year of his Real Madrid contract, raising speculation that the Spanish club could consider offers if negotiations over a new deal fail.

Reports from Sky Sports, talkSPORT and Yahoo Sports suggest Real Madrid’s pursuit of Diomande could influence Vinicius’ future. Madrid are said to have seen an £85.4 million bid for the 19-year-old rejected by RB Leipzig but are continuing negotiations.

Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with Diomande, while the Ivorian is reportedly open to leaving Leipzig after talks with Paris Saint-Germain stalled.

Sky Sports journalist Peter Smith described Vinicius as a “jaw-dropping addition” for Arsenal, noting that the winger’s contract situation presents a potential opportunity for interested clubs.

Despite the transfer speculation, Vinicius remains a key figure at Real Madrid. The Ballon d’Or runner-up has reportedly been named one of the club’s captains for the new season and is expected to work under new manager Jose Mourinho, despite reports of tensions last season.

Arsenal are in the market for a left winger after selling Leandro Trossard to Besiktas and signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. However, no official talks have taken place with Real Madrid over Vinicius, while the futures of both the Brazilian and Diomande remain unresolved.
