‘War Is Over’: Fubara Declares Support For Tinubu, Rainbow Coalition

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared his support for President Bola Tinubu and the Wike-led Rainbow Coalition, saying the political crisis in the state is over and urging his supporters to unite behind the coalition’s candidates.

Speaking on Tuesday during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Riven Medical Facility, a public-private pharmaceutical project in Rivers State, Fubara urged his supporters to back all candidates presented by the coalition.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our President, and he is the one we are supporting. The governorship candidate is the candidate I am supporting, and anybody who believes in me will support every candidate under the Rainbow Coalition,” he said.

The governor added that he had reunited with his political family, insisting, “The time of war is over; it is now time for peace.”

Fubara also pledged not to support any action capable of reigniting political divisions in Rivers State.

On the Riven Medical Facility project, he expressed confidence that the first phase of the pharmaceutical factory would be completed within three months, saying it would boost industrialisation, create jobs and strengthen the state’s healthcare manufacturing sector.

He also assured investors of the state’s support while revealing that the government is contesting contractual claims exceeding ₦200 billion in court as part of efforts to avoid disputes that could discourage investment.
