Peller Held By Police Since Friday Over Tinted Car, Says Tunde Perry

Nigerian content creator Tunde Perry has raised concerns over the continued detention of fellow influencer Peller, claiming he has been in police custody since Friday.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, Perry said Peller was arrested while returning from a content shoot in the Lekki area of Lagos for allegedly driving a tinted vehicle without a number plate.

He claimed the matter was initially handled in Lekki but was later transferred to Ikeja.

“Peller has been in the police station since Friday. He is still there till now. That is why he has not been online. The incident happened in Lekki, but it has now been transferred to Ikeja,” Perry said.

According to reports, the arrest came shortly after Peller reportedly had an encounter with suspected area boys who allegedly demanded ₦250,000 from him at the filming location.

A check of Peller’s social media accounts also showed that his last post was made on Friday. Police authorities have yet to comment on the alleged detention.
