The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting cabin crew safety and enhancing passenger experience through closer collaboration with aviation stakeholders.
The Director-General of Civil Aviation, Chris Najomo, gave the assurance on Tuesday while receiving officials of the NIGAV Centre, accompanied by the reigning King and Queen of the Air Nigeria 2026, during a courtesy visit to the Authority’s headquarters in Abuja.
Najomo said the NCAA remained committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen aviation safety, improve professionalism among cabin crew and ensure passengers continue to enjoy safe and seamless air travel.
Speaking during the visit, Chairman of the NIGAV Centre and Chief Executive Officer of FCI Limited, Fortune Idu, said the engagement was aimed at deepening collaboration with the aviation regulator while unveiling the Cabin Club and the “Not On My Flight” campaign.
According to him, the initiative is designed to promote aviation safety awareness, discourage unruly passenger behaviour and reinforce professionalism among cabin crew across the country’s aviation sector.
Also speaking, Blossom Ubani, a cabin crew member with Ibom Air and the reigning Queen of the Air Nigeria 2026, said she would leverage social media platforms to educate passengers on aviation safety and encourage responsible conduct during flights.
Similarly, Adebote Adeyemi of Aero Contractors, the King of the Air Nigeria 2026, called for greater support for inclusive air travel, particularly for children with special needs, through improved awareness and accessibility.
Najomo commended the delegation for the visit and pledged the NCAA’s full support for the safety initiatives. Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration, expand public awareness campaigns and promote a stronger aviation safety culture across Nigeria’s aviation industry.
