Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has dismissed allegations that he prevented Emmanuel Obasi, the former husband of Judy Austin, from seeing his children.
The actor reacted to the claims in a post shared on his social media page on Friday, following accusations by Obasi that he had been denied access to his children.
Responding to the allegation, Edochie insisted that he had never stopped anyone from seeing their children and urged Obasi to take up the matter directly with his ex-wife.
“Some of my fans have reached out to me, saying, ‘please allow him to see his children’,” Edochie wrote.
“I have never stopped anybody from seeing his children.”
The actor further accused some individuals of using his name to gain attention on social media rather than addressing issues through the appropriate channels.
“In this era of social media, people prefer chasing clout and chasing social media money with my name, rather than doing the right thing,” he said.
Edochie maintained that the matter was strictly between Obasi and Judy Austin, stressing that he had no role in decisions regarding access to the children.
“Tell him to call his ex-wife. If he wants to see or take his children, let them discuss it. He has her number. It has nothing to do with me,” he added.
The development comes amid ongoing public interest in the relationship involving Edochie and actress Judy Austin, which has continued to attract attention on social media.
