Actresses Bambam, Susan Peters Raise Alarm Over Stolen Phones At Ekubo Tribute

A service of songs held in honour of late actor Alex Ekubo in Lagos was overshadowed by reports of theft, with actresses Bambam and Susan Peters revealing that their phones went missing during the event.

The gathering on Wednesday attracted family members, colleagues, celebrities and other well-wishers ahead of Ekubo’s burial next week.

In a post on Instagram on Thursday, Bambam, whose real name is Bamike Olawunmi, disclosed that her phone was stolen from her bag. She said she tracked the device shortly after it disappeared, with its last known location traced to Nnamdi Azikiwe Street on Lagos Island.

Susan Peters also reported losing her iPhone 16 Pro Max at the Monarch Event Centre, where the memorial was held. The actress appealed for help in locating the device and expressed disappointment that theft could occur at an event dedicated to mourning a colleague.

Both actresses urged anyone with information about the missing phones to come forward.
