Don’t Leave Nigeria’s Problems To Celebrities, Says Mr P

Afrobeats star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has said celebrities cannot solve Nigeria’s problems alone, urging citizens to take responsibility for driving change.

Speaking on Wazobia FM Lagos, the singer apologised for previously saying he would no longer concern himself with the country’s challenges.

Mr P said meaningful progress requires collective effort, stressing that while celebrities can lend their voices, they cannot carry the burden alone.

He noted that although some public figures have access to security, most Nigerians do not, making it important for citizens to work together to address issues such as insecurity and poor governance.

“Celebrities alone can’t save Nigeria. Together, we can bring the desired change,” he said.
