Int’l Friendly: Poland Score Late To Force 2-2 Draw Against Nigeria

 The visitors led twice, including from the penalty spot, but Poland struck in stoppage time to earn the result.

Nigeria struck first on 25 minutes when Moses Simon finished after a Terem Moffi assist. Poland answered right on halftime as Kacper Potulski converted from a Nicola Zalewski delivery at 45+1.

Nigeria reset with a raft of changes at the restart, introducing Paul Onuachu, Calvin Bassey, Zaidu Sanusi, Semi Ajayi, Raphael Onyedika, Philip Otele and Rafiu Durosinmi.

 The visitors moved back in front on 77 minutes when Onuachu converted a penalty.

 The game picked up in intensity with yellows to Robert Lewandowski and Onyedika in the 80th minute. Poland then turned to the bench with Jakub Kiwior on for Potulski, followed by late entries for Oskar Pietuszewski and Karol Czubak.

 Deep into added time, Przemysław Wiśniewski found the equaliser at 90+5 to lock the score at 2-2. Five minutes were added in the second half.

Nigeria opened in a 4-4-2 with Wilfred Ndidi wearing the armband. Akor Adams and Terem Moffi began as the forwards, while Moses Simon operated from wide areas. Igoh Ogbu and Emmanuel Fernandez were among the starters at the back, with Frank Onyeka and Tochukwu Nnadi in midfield.
