Veteran Kannywood actress Wasila Isma’il has died at the age of 46 following a prolonged illness.
Her death was confirmed on Sunday by her former husband, Al-Amin Chiroma, who disclosed that she passed away at FOMWAN Hospital.
Born in Kaduna, Wasila rose to prominence in 1999 after starring in the film Wasila, directed by Yakubu Lere alongside Ali Nuhu.
She began her acting career in 1998 with Jinin Masoya and was widely celebrated for her contributions to the Hausa film industry.
