APC Governors Reshuffle Leadership, Name Mbah PGF Chairman

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has reportedly emerged as the new Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, replacing Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The decision was said to have been reached during a closed-door meeting of APC governors held Thursday night in Abuja, with about 20 governors in attendance.

Mbah’s emergence came hours after Uzodimma represented APC governors at the submission of President Bola Tinubu’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms in Abuja.

Party sources said the leadership change is part of efforts to reposition the forum and strengthen collaboration among governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Although official details of the transition were still unclear as of press time, Mbah’s appointment is already being viewed as a major political development within the ruling party ahead of ongoing consultations and alignments in the APC.
