Obi, Kwankwaso Seeking “Free Ticket” — APC Spokesman

The All Progressives Congress has criticised opposition figures Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, describing them as “unserious” amid fresh political realignments.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television, reacting to reports that both politicians had left the African Democratic Congress for the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

Morka dismissed claims that the ruling party was behind crises within opposition ranks, arguing instead that internal ambitions were responsible. He accused the two leaders of frequently switching platforms in search of an easy route to presidential tickets.

According to him, such moves reflect a lack of commitment to building stable political structures or presenting a clear alternative vision of governance.

He also criticised Obi in particular, noting that he had previously condemned opportunistic defections but now appeared to be engaging in similar behaviour.

The APC spokesman insisted that opposition parties must take responsibility for their internal disputes, adding that the ruling party has no need to interfere.

Meanwhile, Obi and Kwankwaso were formally received into their new party by Seriake Dickson, as political alignments continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.
