2027: APC Extends Nomination Forms Deadline, Adjusts Screening Timetable

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the deadlines for the sale and submission of nomination forms for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections, while also adjusting its screening schedule.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Wednesday, the ruling party said the decision was approved to allow more aspirants complete the process within a revised timeframe.

According to the party, the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will now close at midnight on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms has been shifted to midnight on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

The APC further announced that the screening of aspirants will take place between Friday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The party added that the list of successfully screened aspirants will be published on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The adjustment signals a recalibration of the party’s internal timetable as it prepares for the 2027 polls, with stakeholders expected to intensify consultations and last-minute moves ahead of the revised deadlines.
