PDP Hit As Bala Mohammed Joins APM

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), citing the need to reposition ahead of the 2027 elections.

He announced the defection on Saturday in Bauchi, saying the move followed consultations and was aimed at providing a stronger platform for his supporters.

Mohammed noted that the PDP no longer offers the cohesion needed for his political goals but expressed appreciation to the party for its role in his emergence as governor.

APM National Chairman Yusuf Dantalle formally received him, marking a significant shift in Bauchi’s political landscape.
