Afrobeats star Davido says fame isn’t the future he envisions for his children, revealing he would rather see them build careers in his father’s business empire.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Davido explained that his stance is shaped by the challenges he faced before breaking into the music industry. He noted that working under his father, Deji Adeleke, would offer his children a more comfortable and stable path.
The singer recalled how his father initially opposed his music ambitions, a resistance he said dampened his joy until his success became undeniable.
Despite his preference, Davido said he would not stop any of his children from pursuing entertainment if they choose to, adding that one of his daughters is already showing interest in singing and dancing.
He also highlighted his father’s love for family, noting that beyond wealth and success, his greatest happiness comes from spending time with his grandchildren.
