Papa Ajasco Row: Adenuga Breaks Silence On Actor’s Allegation

Veteran filmmaker Wale Adenuga has dismissed claims by actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known as Papa Ajasco, that he is financially struggling.

Reacting to the viral claim, Adenuga described the narrative as “false and misleading,” insisting that his company, Wale Adenuga Productions, has consistently supported the actor.

He noted that Ayoyinka, a former Lagos State civil servant, has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with the production and was never restricted from pursuing other opportunities outside the show.

The filmmaker also revealed that the actor had benefited from multiple forms of support over the years, including vehicles and other resources, while maintaining that remuneration was in line with industry standards.

Adenuga explained that restrictions around the “Papa Ajasco” brand were solely for brand protection and not intended to limit actors’ earnings.

Questioning the actor’s financial claims, he urged a closer look at his past earnings and benefits, adding that other cast members continue to take on external jobs without interference.

He reaffirmed his commitment to professionalism and dismissed suggestions of neglect or exploitation within the organisation.
