MWUN President-General, Bunu Extends Ramadan Greetings To Muslims Worldwide

The President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comra Francis Bunu Abi, has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and the world as they observe the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Comrade Bunu described Ramadan as a sacred period of sober reflection, repentance, and renewal before Almighty Allah. He emphasized that it is a time to seek forgiveness, strengthen bonds within families and communities, and foster unity across all tiers of society. He also urged remembrance of those suffering from wars, insecurity, and hardship globally, reassuring them that Almighty God remains in control and capable of delivering His people.

The MWUN leader expressed concern over the prevalence of insecurity, criminality, and crimes against humanity, both in Nigeria and beyond. He called on the faithful to use this holy season to pray fervently for peace, love, and harmony, affirming that no challenge is too great for God to resolve.

Highlighting the vital role of the marine and blue economy in national development, Comrade Bunu encouraged Nigerians to reflect on its importance during this season. He stressed that solidarity of purpose, mutual respect, and unity across tribes, religions, and social status are essential for building a peaceful and progressive nation.

“As comrades and Nigerians, let us continue to pray for perpetual peace and progress in our country. Ramadan reminds us that God is the Creator of all beings, and through Him, we can achieve the unity and prosperity we desire,” he said.
