Nigeria Inaugurates National Steering Committee For IATF 2027, Creative Africa Nexus 2026

The Federal Government has inaugurated the National Steering Committee for hosting the 5th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) 2027 and the Creative Africa Nexus 2026 in Lagos State. 

The events will be organised by through the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and other officials, marking the formal commencement of Nigeria’s coordination and delivery framework for two of Africa’s most significant trade and creative-economy platforms.

The Committee is tasked with driving inter-ministerial alignment, accountability, and execution readiness, ensuring Nigeria delivers to the highest standards while maximising economic impact. Minister Oduwole emphasised a focus on outcomes, credibility, and long-term value for African trade and Nigeria’s economy.

Speakimg, Oduwole noted that ndustryToday, we inaugurated the National Steering Committee for hosting the 5th edition of IATF and CANEX in Lagos State. 

“This marks the formal commencement of Nigeria’s coordination and delivery framework for two of Africa’s most significant trade and creative-economy platforms.

“The Committee is tasked with driving inter-ministerial alignment, clear accountability, and execution readiness—ensuring Nigeria delivers to the highest standards and maximises economic impact” she noted.

“We are focused on outcomes, credibility, and long-term value for African trade and Nigeria’s economy” she added.
