Obi Denies Fueling Insults, Blames ‘Criminal Elements

Peter Obi, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, denies encouraging Obidient movement members to insult opposition coalition leaders.

Speaking at the movement’s secretariat, Obi says abusive attacks in his name don’t reflect his values. He claims cordial relationships with coalition figures and insists on respect among ADC members, saying name-calling has no place in politics. Obi attributes alleged insults to “criminals” not affiliated with the Obidient movement

“Let me tell you here, most of the things you hear… criminals that are not Obidient people. You don’t see anybody calling the other a bad name. We are not asking for division, I personally do not in any way… you have never seen me call anybody a bad name,” @PeterObi said.
